IDS and Deighton Host dTIMS Workshops in New Zealand

IDS Ltd and Deighton were proud to facilitate and present a series of dTIMS Workshops in November. The workshops were run in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The aim was to assist road asset managers in New Zealand on dTIMS analysis processes and outcomes with their investment planning during the funding cycles. Topics addressed at the workshops included strategic planning and determining road asset maintenance and funding needs. Deighton presented on various new and existing features in dTIMS. In addition, Deighton introduced two new companion products, dTIMS wf (Workflow) and md (Management Dashboard).

Special thanks to IDS, Mike, Derek and Theuns, for organizing the three city tour in New Zealand. We are looking forward to attending New Zealand’s Workshops next year!

Deighton Hosts dTIMS Workshop in Iowa

On October 26th, 2010 the Deighton team, in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Transportation, hosted a one day dTIMS Workshop in Ames, Iowa. The workshop brought together asset management professionals from Iowa DOT, CTRE, City of Ames, City of Muscatine, City of Des Moines, City of Clive and Dallas County.

The aim of the workshop was to provide an event for State as well as local municipal agency employees to attend and participate in presentations and discussions on dTIMS. Topics included upgrading to version 8, using some of the advanced features of dTIMS CT and an introduction to dTIMS md (Management Dashboard) and wf (Workflow). Many thanks to the Iowa DOT for providing the venue for a very successful day!

Using Forms in dTIMS CT

At the User Conference in July 2010, a new feature to dTIMS CT’s Data Sheet View was announced. This new feature assists those clients who use dTIMS CT to enter their attribute data. It allows you to create an entry form to look just like the input form you are using to enter your data by simply moving the attribute label/data combinations around on the screen. The design makes data entry quick and easy.
