Board Chair Julie Muir, on behalf of the IDS Board is pleased to welcome new IDS Chief Executive Gavin Rutherford, who started with IDS on 9 September.
We are excited to have Gavin on board to steer IDS into a new era. As our industry moves and changes with the current and future challenges, we welcome a fresh perspective to lead and invigorate our team.
IDS remains committed to our members and their needs, and Gavin will focus on how we best deliver these.
Whilst Gavin does not come from an asset management background, his strong commercial experience across a range of industries and passion for product development and customer engagement will allow him to ensure IDS moves forward with solid direction and purpose to ensure we can continue to meet our charitable purpose and member needs.
The IDS team would like to thank Jodie O’Doherty for her time as Interim Chief Executive. Jodie, your focus and determination for the best outcomes for IDS were appreciated. Jodie will remain on until mid October to assist Gavin with handover.
Gavin commented “I am excited about joining IDS at this time and looking forward to meeting our members and key stakeholders to get a feel for where they and the industry are at. It is clear that infrastructure management is a hot topic for all New Zealanders at the moment and I am keen to find out how we can best help our members and partners to meet their needs today, and into the future .”
